REEL Engineering Education Conference 2015

Registration is open for the second annual Regional Engineering Education Learning (REEL) Conference, to be held at UC Riverside on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 and Wednesday, August 19, 2015. All middle and high school mathematics, science and engineering educators are welcomed to attend the conference. This conference is being presented to you by the UCR Graduare School of Education (GSOE), the UCR MESA Schools Program and the UCR Bourns College of Engineering.

The primary goal of the REEL conference is to strengthen engineering education in our underserved region of California by creating a yearly forum for educators to learn new and innovative strategies for teaching engineering in their schools. This conference will help train middle and high school science teachers to effectively use engineering practices in their classrooms by highlighting best practices in engineering education, introducing hands-on, intuitive engineering projects as the platforms for engineering teaching, and by learning from the perspectives of practicing engineers and engineering faculty. At the heart of our motivations is a desire to make learning more intuitive and engaging for all students.
